3/16/2004 9:59:29 PM

After many month of contemplating doing so, I have finally broken down and purchased a new mountain bike. I got a 2004 Cannondale Scalpel 2000 and it should be arriving by Fri/Sat.

No I did not fall off the face of the earth...
2/9/2004 2:12:44 PM

...it just probably seemed like it. Nothing too exciting or thought provoking has happened in the past few months.  Work has gotten busier, but with it goes a constantly decreasing workday (at least it feels like it). Past few weekends have been pretty lowkey, just spending time with Casey, and running errands. This weekend I did my taxes. (Hip Hip Horray for refunds!) I also read Angels & Demons (prequel to Da Vinci Code) which was really good.

So I figured I would write this update since it had been awhile since my last one and that I would have lots t write, but now I am drawing a blank and I have some work to do :-(, so I will get back to you...

Happy Holidays
12/18/2003 12:14:12 PM
It is that time of the year again, and it sure has come fast. Work is pretty busy, but should settle down a bit over the holidays. We have had a few holiday parties at work and some team dinners which were nice. I really enjoy where I work and the people I work with and the stuf I work on. I know I am very lucky in that regard. I have most of my shopping done, aside from a few things, and tonight I plan to finish my xmas cards so I can send those out ASAP. Casey is even making me put little confetti inside haha. A-ditty is in mexico/denver until the 28th, so I have converted his bedroom to a rec-room..haha j/k. (or am I ? ) Kyle and Kelly are leaving for San Diego for Sat through the 24th or something. Well that is all for now. I need to make some progress on my project before the break, but just wanted to wish everyone happy holidays! (5 Comments, 16930 Views, )
Where does the time go ?
11/21/2003 11:29:42 AM
Where does the time go? I for one do not know. I can't belive I have been working here for 7 months (today). I guess it is good that I still love my job. Work has been pretty busy as of late, but that is good as it makes the day go by faster. And we get next Wed, Thu, and Fri off, hurray for 5 day weekends! THanksgiving is right around the corner and then Christmas. THis weeknd I am going snowboarding with the guys on Saturday, then Sunday spend the day with Casey. I am really looking forward to spending the holidays with our new place, with my good friends, and most of all with Casey. Life is really good and I definitely can't complain. I guess one thing I do need to do is "update the sheet" more often as an eloquent commenter posted. I knew it was time as I had dropped to the last on the recent post lists on http://www.redyawning.com . Now (at least as I write this) I am on top!!!!!!!! (1 Comments, 17035 Views, )
"Update your blog!"
11/6/2003 11:55:49 AM
"Update your blog" is what my roommate told me, so here I go. Not much to say. It has gotten damn cold here which is nice as it alows me to wear my new jacket. Last weekend Casey and I went to the Castro. She was a dark angel of sorts , =), and i was some sort of vampire. Even though she will probably kill me. I shall try to put up a picture of her in her costume soon hehe. Yesterday the new Matrix movie came out, and Aditya, Kyle and I saw it at 6 AM!! I was damn tired but I made up for it getting 11+ hours of sleep last night hehe. Gotta love being able to stroll into work at 11 AM. Other than that nothng too exciting going on. This weekend I will be in actuality finally making a media center PC, and spending the rest of weekend with Casey! (1 Comments, 17201 Views, )
Yay! another weekend!
10/31/2003 11:54:06 AM

Today is Friday and more importantly Halloween. This week has been a bit busy, but is calming down. Work is really good. I enjoy going to work each day, feel challenged, and I think I am making a name for myself. I saw Kill Bill Vol. 1 with Casey on Wed night. I thought some aspects of the movie were really good, i.e. the fight scene music, some cinematic views etc. So tonight after work I am driivng up to Casey's and we are going to the Castro to walk around in our costumes. THen we will probably do some hiking again and probably spend the rest of the weekend in my part of the Bay Area hehe. It has started to get cold here whcih is quite exciting as I am really excited about the winter season, spending holidays with family, friends, and of course Casey. Boarding with my buddies. This is going to be an awesome winter! Thats all for now!

Weekends go by too fast...
10/28/2003 2:35:01 PM

So this past weekend was great. Went by too fast, but great nonetheless. Spent the whole weekend with Casey. Went to Half Moon Bay on Saturday, and hiking at Big Basin on Sunday. We also got some new fish and some hot new blue and green underwater spotlights for the tank which look awesome at night. I decided that time in general starts to go by so fast as I have been working for 6+ months now. I still very much love my job and my location, so that is definitely a plus for me.

In other news my roommate Aditya and I are going to be building a Media Center PC. It will in effect act as a Tivo except we can watch the saved media on all other XP computers easily. We have been talking about it for awhile, but having access to Microsoft resources makes it so easy :-)

Also looking into planning a trip to Hawaii in April of next year for my sisters wedding. Should be a lot of fun. My whole family will be there, and I will be bringing Casey as well. Good thing I have lots of vacation saved up :-) Ok that is all for now. Word!

How great that it is Friday...
10/24/2003 1:21:09 PM
Wow am I glad it is Friday. Nothing too exciting happenned this week.  Casey is going to be here all weekend which rocks  so that will be fun.  No big plans except enjoy time with her and perhaps a bonfire with some friends in Half Moon Bay. This week I bought an IPOD, and wow does it kick ass. iTunes also is a superior windows application, I was quite surprised.  In other obscure yet exciting news I registering a new domain name (expenses by Microsoft to beta their hew MSN personal domans). It is jujitsustab.com hehe. (Thanks to aditya for the name). Well thats all for now, have a great weekend, its supposed to be 90+ here! (0 Comments, 17301 Views, )

Ok, now I am really sorry. I said I would update again soon, but that was way back in June. So from now on I will update when I get around to it :-p. So what is new with me ? Life went from good to amazing. Moved into a 4 Bedroom house with Kyle, Kelly, and Aditya in Sunnyvale. The place is really awesome and I am saving a crapload of money (house fund). Work is really good, I even got to go to Seattle for a week for a cool class. Had fun hanging out with Jakub and Summer and stayin at their new house. Got to play some flag football, which made me miss organized sports. Also my sister is now engaged!! I am so happy for her and she will be having the cermony in Hawaii.

And finally I met the most amazing girl named Casey. We have such a good time together and I am always smiling at the mere thought of her. I love her, my friends love her, shes a keeper! I will *try* to post some pictures of her if she doesn't kill me for attempting to do so..hehe :-D
Monday, June 30 -- 2003
Ok I am sorry. I promised I would try to write more often, but I had some what forgotten about my website. I was reminded my wonderful grandmother (perhaps my only loyal reader) that I should update my website, so here goes. This will probably be a long post so feel free to take a break between sections haha.

The last few weeks were great knowing soon I would be done with school forever. I can't explain the complete jubilation I felt after taking my last final. So 2 days later I was all moved back to San Jose and on a plane to Brasil. I had never been outside of the country before, and what a great place to go. I was originally supposed to go for a week, but ende up staying for a full month. It was perhaps the most relaxing month I have ever had. Spent a month lounging around, going out drinking, danicng, surfing. And all the time hanging with Kyle, bryan, and erick. Got to play lots of soccer and pretty much just relax. Not the mention the exchange rate was awesome. I brought money for 1 week only, and left after a month with money leftover! And this is with paying for everyone, and buying a new wardrobe haha. After a month I was kind of sad to leave, but I was excited to get home and start my new life.

Two days after my arrival I started work at Microsoft. Work started off great and has only gotten better. I have the greatest boss and the greatest job. I have my own huge office and look forward to going to wokr each and everyday. I am keeping challenged and having a lot of fun. Not really miuch more I could hope for. Also I have met some really cool people my age at work whom I have become pretty close with.

So I have resumed my quest to be in super shape haha. I have started going to the gym again. It is great being done with school cause now I have time for all sorts of hobbies whihc I have always wanted to start. So in short I am really enjoying being back in San Jose, and enjoying working.

There is a lot more to write but I am growing tired and it is kinda hot, so I will wtrite again later this week hopefully :-)
Wednesday, March 05 -- 2003
Wow, it has been quite some time since I have written. Things here are about the same, very good. Only a week or so left of class, then 2 finals and I am done for good. The movers came today to survey what I need to be moved, which really isn't very much. They will be packing and loading my stuff March 20th. On March 22nd Kyle and I will be flying out to Sao Paulo, Brazil where we wil meet up with Bryan and Erick. We are staying at a friend's 4-story mansion with 2 pools, an indoor soccer arena, and of course a 23 year old maid :) I put some serious thought into buying a townhouse recently, but it was not quite what I wanted so I decided to wait until I found what I am looking for. So I shall live at home until August at most, then either find a place to rent, or maybe even buy someplace..who knows. This past weekend was spent in San Jose. Kyle, Bryan, Erick, and I chopped down 2 huge cherry trees with axes (yes like George Washington). I know it doesnt seem like a big deal, but it is another thing I can cross off of my list of things to do before I die. After that we went mountain biking at Santa Teresa Park (perhjaps not a good idea given condition of our hands from chopping down trees). Some of the trails were closed so we ended following a kinda trail and making our own, good times had by all. Well that is about it for now. I am going to really miss Southern California, but I am really excited to be back in San Jose. I promise to try to update this site more often and even put up more pictures that I have, but I can't guarantee it :)

Woohoo..I finished my Masters Thesis. Check it out here
Sunday, January 26 -- 2003
This weekend was kinda uneventful but fun. I am trying to finish my Masters Thesis, so in true procrastination I did many other things insetad :) Thursday we went to the shadiest dive bar ever by our apartment (Lost & Found). Everyone knew each others name(it was like a shady retro Cheers), everyone had a tab, and everyone but us was smoking indoors. The old man next to us was performing lewd acts on the hideous woman he was with. And the 40 year old drunk lady next to us tried to pickup on me haha. Friday I hung out with Clara and watched some movies. Saturday I went running down to Santa Monica Airport and around Culver City and back to apt(total ~ 3.5 miles). Saturday night a bunch of us went to Hermosa Beach (thats Brothers Beach to Kelly hahaah) and went to Ein Stein's and Hennesey's. It was definitely a good time had by all. Today I went and watched the Superbowl in HDTV at Jakub's parents house and ate till I was super full. As for tomorrow the plan is to wake up at 6:30, run same 3.5 miles, finish Masters Thesis, then clean the apartment. Anyways check out the pics page I am adding a few pics. There are of Kyle and I doing wheelies on our mountain bikes. These are only a sampling of the cool pics, they will all be up on www.blizzardcrew.com once I get around to finishing it(this week I hope).
Monday, January 20 -- 2003
Really quick update before I am off to Margarita Mondays. I had an awesome weekend in San Jose. Such a great weekend that I forgot that I am in the middle of a quarter haha :). Lots of great stuff happenned, but I won't get into it now(later I promise). For awhile I will not be putting as many pics here or putting as much effort into my site as I am working on www.blizzardcrew.com. I did add one picture though, and that is of the tattoo Kyle and I will be getting. Let me know what you think. Thats all for now folks!
Saturday, January 11
Wow it has been awhile since I have posted, and a lot has transpired. First off I successfully finished my second to last quarter at UCLA. I spent a crazy 2 days catching up on the close to thousand pages of dense material I had not read during the quarter. A couple of long days and late nights and all went well. Somehow I ended up with straight A's even though I put no effort forth. Luck was definitely on my side, but if I had received C's I would not have cared :-p

So after finals I hung out in LA for a couple of days drinking it up and enjoying the start of break with some friends. Then I traveled to San Jose through some crazy weather (I saw three rainbows side by side and got hit by a tumbleweed). The day after I got there I went to Sacramento with Kyle. We went boarding with Byan and Erick. We did night boarding at Boreal and then had all you can eat Sushi. That night we stayed with Kyle's mom at her new house (very very cool). Then we were back in San Jose for a week and a half. Christmas was really good. I had a great week chillin with Kyle and Kelly (until they both got sick) and hanging with the family. That weekend we went back up to Sac where I got some contract remote work to pay the tuition and drove straight form there to Heavenly. The Heavenly trip was amazing. The snow was amazing. The cabin was amazing(100 feet from lift). The company was amazing(even with the Bright and Shiny Gang). We snowboarded several days and went to Tahoe a couple of nights where I broke even at Blackjack but won $250 at dollar slots. Make sure you check out the pictures page (Previously about me).

The day I returned to San Jose, I left for LA..overall the best winter break/Christmas/New Years I have ever had.

So now I am back in School for my last quarter at UCLA. Everything is falling into place and I am planning my return to Norcal. Classes are relatively easy, or maybe it is just that I dont care :-p. I am even taking a Philosophy class haha. Wow this post was really long, sorry but I figured I could make up for quantity with quality, maybe not. Anyways have a great week. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff and to not appreciate what you have.
Sunday, December 01
I can't believe it is already December. It feels like it was just Christmas not too long ago, and here it is fast approaching again. Christmas is always great times and I am sure this one will be epic, far surpassing all previous. This weekend was a nice long Thanksgiving weekend. I drove up late Tuesday night (I actually enjoy the drive, it has been awhile since I have done it). Wednesday was relaxing, I lounged around, ran errands, and visited some people. Thursday was Turkey Day and we had a small gathering, well actually just my parents and me. I ate way too much. Then I ate some more. And then...I had some pie. I napped a fierce nap and ended up hanging out with my bro Special K and E before I slipped into a food coma. Friday all of us went on a great ride. A good 20 miles, and the best part was we finally got to ride all together. We have not all gone riding together since I got the giant scar on my elbow :) No scars this time though, just good times. We were so hungry after riding I think I might have had more to eat Friday than the day before if it was possible. We ended up shooting the shit, recovering from the ride and food, and watching some movies. Saturday I hung out with the family a bit. That night Kyle, Kelly and I went to eat at El Burro's, damn tasty. We watched some movies, and crashed out kinda early. Then I woke up this morning at 6 AM and drove back so as to avoid traffic. I can't believe this quarter is already almost over. I gotta do a lot of work these last 2 weeks (1 week of class, 1 of finals) but then it is all gravy as it will be winter break. Finances are a lot harder this year. I desperately want to not be in any debt when I graduate (not counting car loan). This is difficult considering my severance income only goes through December, and I dont have any scholarships or even financial aid coming in this year. And on top of all that I need/want to buy a new Mountain Bike, and snowboarding stuff. It will be close, but with Tax refund :) I should be cool. I remember when I first started UCLA everyone would say it would be the fastest 4 years (or 4 and a half in my case) and well they were right. I know a lot of people after they graduate worry about leaving the school atmosphere and having to start a career, but I am the opposite. I am excited to be back in San Jose where I belong, working at MS and living with my best bro Kyle. Wow I have been rambling on for quite awhile now, so I think it is time to sign off. Have a great week everybody, and if I don't update before Christmas, Happy Holidays.
Sunday, November 17
Wow this page updating thing is starting to become a tradition. I even added two pics of myself to the about me section. I am thinking of changing the page to PICS instead of "about me", because I more so enjoy talking about my friends than myself. Nothing too interesting going on here. Went to dim sum with some poeple this morning(afternoon). It all blurs together when you go to bed late, and wake up really late. Wow I just realized this week is 8th week, guess I should start doing some school work like my Master's Project and the term project for the grad class I am taking. Friday was the debut of Xbox live(Great job MS), so I have been playing with Kyle, Jakub, Mike Dalton, and Gavin. Good times. Thanksgiving is really soon, but not before the UCLA/U$C football game. Gavin will be in town so I will probably meet up with him and others to watch the game since I cannot afford a ticket. I have not had time to go mountain biking in 2 weeks, but over Thanksgiving break I get to go with my bro and other old friends. I can't wait, more good times.
Saturday, November 9
Wow I have actually updated my webpage twice in a month!! I know, too good to be true. It has been pouring all weekend. I have not been to class since tuesday, so this is quite a long weekend :). My bro Kyle is down here visiting this weekend so we are having a great time in LA. It is great having him here. I am getting really excited for after I finish school when we go get a place together, it will be such a cool pad! We have been talking about it since high school and its actually going to happen. In other news Ciara goes back to Ireland on Monday which is sad, but she was a great girl to spend time with. This quarter is going by really fast. It is going to be Thanksgiving and winter break before I know it and that means more mountain biking and a week long tahoe cabin snowboarding trip with a shitload of people. Life is good :)
Saturday, November 2
Yes loyal reader(s) it is true. I have actually updated my page. And it only took me a good month and a half. Time sure is going by fast. Senior year (my second senior year) is really kicking in. I have filled out my degree audits, and have already taken my midterm for the quarter(thats right only one!). I have much free time with which to enjoy my remaining time in SoCal. And on top of the lack of classwork I got laid off from my job down here (not without a phatty severance package of course) so that just adds to my free time. This translates to a whole lot of chillin, mountain biking, and fun. Got a few great trips planned with some friends, namely to Vegas, New Orleans, and Tahoe. Basically a whole lot of nothing work related that is. As far as after college I happily accepted my great offer from Microsoft to work full-time for the hotmail backend team in San Jose starting April 21st. I am starting to get really excited to be back in San Jose. I look forward to spending lots of time with some people whom I don't see as much as I would like. At the same time it will be hard to say goodbye to some of the great friends I have made down here, but I am determined to stay in touch and take lots of flights to Washington or where else need be. Things are really falling into place and there definitely light at the end of this hell of a school tunnel.
Tuesday, September 17
Well I am now all moved into my new apartment in LA. It is about 3 miles from UCLA, so I still have to figure out how I am going to get to campus, but then again I still don't know what classes I am taking :p My new apartment looks like a crackhouse from the outside, but on the inside it is clean, quiet (except for freeway noise) and spacious. And since I have my own room it is easy for me to totally work from home all the time. My goal is to not go into work once at all this year!! So only two more quarters and then I am done for good. As far as after that I will be moving back to San Jose and will be working at Microsoft. I find out my offer Thursday, and hopefully it will be enough to make me happy =/ That is all for now. To all of my loyal readers (1 including myself) stay tuned. . .
Sunday, August 4
It has been a long time since my last update (over a month), but since I am the only one that looks at this page I guess it is alright as I will forgive myself. Not too much happening here, my internship at Microsoft is more than half over, and with it summer. I have been working a lot :(, going to the gym, and mountain biking whenever possible :). Now I guess I am just preparing myself for 2 more quarters and then I will be done with school forever. Then I just have to worry about life after college things, like a job and where I am going to live :(. I pretty much know for sure that I do not want to live at home anymore, but the no rent thing is nice. I guess it all depends on how much money I get offered :).

Sunday, June 23

Well another birthday has come and gone. I have finally started my new years resolution of getting more exercise (better late than never). The free gym membership Microsoft gives me makes this a lot easier. Saturday I ran 3 miles and then went on a 12 mile bike ride, followed by a little family bbq. Work is not that bad, but it is work so needless to say I look forward to payday (this Friday :) ).

Sunday, June 16
I am officially back in San Jose for the summer. Tomorrow is my first day of work and I have to go through another orientation. At least I am getting paid for it.

Friday, June 7
So I just created this site...well actually that is a lie. Actually I borrowed it from somewhere else and merely changed the content. Anyone who knows me understands how artistically challenged I really am. I know it is really simple and all of the links are probably broken, but the site will probably be under construction for about 8 years so bare with me.
